Braves New Anti Bullying PSA's
Now Available for Fans to Watch and ShareNow Available for Fans to Watch and Share

The Atlanta Braves have unveiled English and Spanish public service announcements geared toward kids who are the target of bullying. They have teamed with the Anti Defamation League to distribute the PSAs to schools and other programs who are part of their No Place for Hate Campaign.  The PSA’s are now available at braves.com/stopbullying for fans to watch and share with others.

The :30 and :60 second English versions feature Chipper Jones, Tim Hudson, Brian McCann and Jason Heyward talking directly to those being bullied, those who witness bullying and those who bully.  The :30 and :60 Spanish spots feature Martin Prado.

The spots are tagged with a web address to ADL’s combat bullying resource center (www.adl.org/combatbullying), which is part of their No Place for Hate campaign currently in over 100 Metro Atlanta public, parochial and private schools.

“It seems that bullying has gone to a whole new level in the last several years and the consequences are staggering,” said Atlanta Braves President John Schuerholz.  “We know that kids listen to their favorite athletes and we had many of our players who wanted to be a part of this.  Hopefully, hearing from someone they admire will result in them seeking the help they need.”

Participating schools will be able to download the PSA’s at www.braves.com/schools making it as easy as possible for schools to reach out to their students.

“As one of the country’s leading providers of bullying prevention programs for young people, ADL welcomes the commitment the Atlanta Braves are making to fight bullying and bigotry,” said Bill Nigut, Southeast Regional Director of ADL. “We look forward to working with them to advance our message that there truly is “No Place for Hate” in schools or online.”
